Monthly Statistics and Calendar View

Understand your habit patterns with Tend's detailed monthly statistics — a full calendar view of your progress, streak tracking, and insights that help you stay consistent over the long term.

Monthly Statistics and Calendar View

Daily tracking tells you what you did today. Monthly statistics tell you who you're becoming. Tend's statistics screen gives you a detailed calendar view of your habit history, streak data for each habit, and the pattern-level insights that make the difference between short-term effort and lasting change.

The Monthly Calendar View

The statistics screen centers on a full monthly calendar. Each day in the calendar is marked based on your overall completion for that day — giving you an immediate visual of your consistency across the month.

Color-coded markers show you at a glance:

  • Days you completed all habits — visually distinct, rewarding to see accumulate
  • Days with partial completion — you showed up, even if imperfectly
  • Days you missed — visible, but not accusatory; just information

The calendar makes patterns obvious that are invisible in daily tracking. A streak of good days. A recurring dip every weekend. A strong start to the month that fades by week three. Seeing the full month in one view turns data into understanding.

Habit-Level Streaks

For each habit, Tend tracks your current streak — the number of consecutive days you've completed it without a break. Streaks are a powerful motivator: once you have a 14-day streak for your morning workout, breaking it feels like a real loss.

The statistics screen shows streaks per habit, so you always know which habits are building momentum and which ones need attention.

Identifying Your Patterns

The richest use of the statistics screen is pattern recognition. Over weeks and months, patterns emerge that you can't see day-to-day:

Weekly patterns. Many people track well Monday through Friday but drift on weekends. The calendar makes this visible immediately.

Monthly trends. A strong first two weeks followed by a gradual decline is a common pattern — and one you can interrupt once you see it.

Habit correlations. When you miss your morning exercise, do you also miss your reading habit that evening? The calendar view helps you spot these dependencies.

Once you see your patterns, you can design around them. Adjust your reminders. Simplify your habit list. Change your schedule for difficult days.

Reviewing Your Progress

The statistics screen rewards consistent trackers. Opening it after a strong week and seeing a solid block of completed days is genuinely motivating. The visual representation of your effort — not just a count, but a calendar you can see — makes the work feel real.

Use the statistics screen for:

  • Weekly reviews — spend two minutes each Sunday reviewing the past week
  • Monthly reflections — see how your habits trended across the full month
  • Habit health checks — identify which habits are thriving and which need a reset

Achievements

Tend tracks not just whether you completed habits, but how much effort you've invested. As you build streaks and accumulate completions, you unlock achievements that celebrate your progress.

Achievements recognize both consistency (streaks) and volume (total completions), so both long-term habits and newly started ones have milestones worth reaching.
